how hatching works
Minted eggs wait in the incubator. On the live protocol, a hatch event fires when Codex makes qualifying news, and the oldest 400 unhatched eggs become hatchable; yours will show ready when an event reaches it. Click a ready egg and it cracks open on the spot. The species inside was fixed before mint by the committed trait list. In preview mode every egg is ready immediately so you can feel the whole flow.
